The executive director of the Los Angeles Area Helicopter Operators Association is Chuck Street. Chuck has been a
working pilot for nearly 4 decades. He served as the helicopter pilot - traffic reporter for 102.7 KIIS-FM in Los
Angeles for 28 years. And part of that time he also provided traffic reports for KTLA-TV 5. During his nearly three
decades as a pilot/reporter Chuck logged over 25 thousand hours flying above the communities situated in the L.A. basin.
Chuck is a Southern California native and has a special appreciation for the SoCal life style and the rich history of
the region. Over the years he has landed at nearly 400 elementary and middle schools speaking about the importance of
reading good books. He has served as an emcee for hundreds of charity events and has devoted countless hours on behalf
of the Orange County Council of the Boy Scouts.
Chuck is a passionate advocate for helicopter aviation. He is committed to spreading the "good word" about these unique
machines and the dedicated professionals who operate them.
